Bio-stimulation through the years

Since the beginning of the 2000s, a multitude of different products and methods have been launched on the market with the aim of stimulating our fibroblasts to produce more or improve our collagen and elastin.

However, all methods, tools, or materials that have been used to create this stimulation have had the same basic principle - to create trauma or inflammation in our tissue.

The prevailing industry rhetoric has been that it is only through trauma or inflammation that our fibroblasts increase their production of collagen and elastin.

This temporary activation is a natural response of our fibroblasts to remove the foreign material, reduce inflammation and get the skin repaired after the trauma we have caused. In other words, the methods and materials induce a healing process.

Within aesthetic medicine, this has led to a risky perception that “the more inflammation and trauma the product/method creates, the better it is”. This, combined with an industry that is largely driven by trends rather than biology and patient safety, creates a growing future problem – both for therapists, patients and the entire industry.

Numerous studies and collected data clearly show that bio-stimulating products/methods are by far the top when it comes to the most reported complications and reactions, worldwide.

Through Molderm’s revolutionary bio-stimulation portfolio, the conditions are fundamentally changing.

Skin Health - Technology and Biology

As we age, our molecular spectrum of hyaluronic acid decreases. As a result, the production capacity of our fibroblasts decreases. This is because large HA molecules within the “ultra-high molecular weight” spectrum are becoming fewer and fewer. The large HA molecules act as the fibroblast’s long-term fuel by being placed on its receptor (CD44).

Never before have these large molecules been able to be supplied through treatment to achieve a natural production of collagen and elastin. Thanks to Molderm’s production technology - Fine-Tuning Technology™ - we have for the first time enabled the restoration of the entire natural spectrum of HA molecules. As a result, fibroblasts can now produce as they once did when the body was younger. This without unnecessary trauma or inflammation.

We welcome a healthy and natural path to optimal skin health. We welcome MOLDERM® GLOW & MOLDERM® GLOW+.

An HA molecule in the ultra-high spectrum has linked to a receptor (CD44) on a fibroblast where it enables the cell to function optimally in its production of elastin and collagen.

Treatment plan

A complete treatment plan for stabilizing and stimulating the skin.

The treatment plan begins with MOLDERM® GLOW according to the table below and is then completed with MOLDERM® GLOW+.

The treatments are performed at 1-2 week intervals. MOLDERM® GLOW+ should only be used on healthy and well-balanced skin. To achieve this, treatments with MOLDERM® GLOW are first performed at 1-2 week intervals according to the table below. When healthy and well-balanced skin is achieved, treatment with MOLDERM® GLOW+ continues.

After each treatment, it is advisable to perform a light massage to facilitate the spread of the product into the tissue.

GLOW & GLOW+

Injection protocol.

MOLDERM® GLOW & GLOW+ should always be injected into the middle layer of the dermis.

After the treatment, a light massage should be performed on the treated area to help the product spread into the tissue.

A great advantage of MOLDERM® GLOW & GLOW+ is the option to use either a sharp needle or a blunt cannula to distribute the product with the retrograde fanning technique or the retrograde linear technique.

Picotage technique

The Picotage technique should be performed with small dabs of 0.05 - 0.1 ml of product in a grid pattern by spacing the points approximately 1.5 - 2 cm apart. You can use the supplied 30G, 13mm needles or optional 30G, 4mm mesotherapy needles.

When treating larger areas, the retrograde fanning technique with a 25G cannula is recommended.
