Next generation, science of beauty.
The first hyaluronic acid-based filler was launched in the mid-1990s. Today, there are a variety of brands globally, with variations in manufacturing processes, marketing and rheological profiles, even though the basic composition has remained largely the same.
A traditional HA filler mainly consists of:
For many years, fillers have been marketed as natural to the body. At the same time, accumulated clinical data and long-term follow-ups show that up to one in five patients experience some form of reaction or complication. This includes everything from persistent swelling, inflammation, migration to nodules and infections. It has also been proven in several studies and investigations that a filler cross-linked with BDDE does not break down completely, but remains in the tissue and can also expand over the years.
Today we know that:
Complications often arise when a gel migrates, breaks down unevenly, or triggers the immune system. This is not primarily an injection technique problem – but a material problem.
Since the beginning of the 2000s, the development in the segment of skin boosters and bio-stimulating products has been largely based on a biological principle that involves: Trauma and inflammation as a stimulus for fibroblast activity and increased collagen and elastin production.
Today we see a clear trend towards products and methods that:
With Molderm Aesthetics’ revolutionary Fine-Tuning Technology™, the situation is fundamentally changing. For the first time, we can optimize the filler’s biological and rheological properties at the molecular level, without compromising patient safety.
Molderm’s revolutionary technology is based on over 40 years of scientific evidence and several years of research and data. Fine-Tuning Technology™ takes us into a new era of fillers.
Thanks to a complex and sophisticated production process, Fine-Tuning Technology™ enables a careful selection of molecular weights that optimize the gel’s rheological properties in its various biomimetic volume functions. This makes it possible to meet the need for natural tissue interfaces that can be integrated into the extracellular matrix while being functional and respectful of the complex dynamics of facial expression.
With Molderm®, we welcome a new era in fillers and bio-stimulating products.
In developing Molderm®, we have learned from the history of the beauty industry. With the help of scientific advances and successes, we have been able to develop a product line that is well-balanced and adapted to the needs of each indication.
MOLDERM® TT, LIFT, VOLUME and KISS® vary in concentration of hyaluronic acid and range between 22-26 mg/ml.
Our patented Fine-Tuning Technology™ enables, for the first time in world history, a composition of hyaluronic acid molecules exactly as humans naturally bind hyaluronic acid - via different sizes of HA molecules together with amino acids (proline, glycine).
All Molderm® products are based on an extremely pure raw material (pharmaceutical grade) and cutting-edge production techniques that enable a final product with 0% BDDE.

1,4 butanediol diglycidyl ether, or BDDE as we often call it in the industry, is a chemical that was originally developed for the plastics industry where it is used as a binder. In the manufacture of a filler, we call BDDE a crosslinking agent.
BDDE is used in a filler to bind together the selection of hyaluronic acid molecules, which has historically been needed to create a filler, and to extend the duration of the product. However, most studies show that the chemical BDDE is cytotoxic and immunogenic. It also contributes to the problem that a filler is not 100% biodegradable.
Research has shown for many years that the more cross-linked a product is, the more residues remain in the tissue. This in turn means that 100% degradation of the filler is not possible.
BDDE is also one of the main causes of the majority of all reported reactions and complications that have occurred when injecting a filler.
Through Molderm’s revolutionary technology, we have made possible the world’s first BDDE-free filler.
This significantly minimizes the risk of all the reactions and complications caused by triggered immune reactions.
This is a single molecule of hyaluronic acid. Let’s call it a ”hyaluron”.
The largest HA structures in our skin consist of over 8000 interconnected ”hyalurons” (see the molecular chain on the far right on the left). Molderm® ranges with a complete selection from the smallest molecular chains to the largest structures.
Thanks to Molderm’s solid documentation and evidence-based safety profile, Molderm’s entire filler portfolio is registered under the new EU regulation (2017/745) MDR (Medical Device Regulation). Molderm’s products are therefore among the first in the world to meet the new quality requirements set by the EU for a better and safer industry.
The Medical Device Regulation (MDR) is an EU regulation (2017/745) that replaces older rules for medical devices to greatly improve patient safety, increase transparency, traceability and quality throughout the product’s life cycle, from development to market use, with stricter requirements for manufacturers and distributors within the EU.

The MDR ensures that only safe and effective products reach the EU market, protecting patients and healthcare professionals. The right choice of product = patient safety.
Holding a Molderm® syringe should not feel like holding any other syringe on the market.
The syringes are permeated with quality, clarity and control.
In close collaboration with our partner Salentec, experts in advanced component development for exclusive brands such as Rolls-Royce, we have developed a completely new generation of syringes, specially designed for Molderm®.
Every detail is carefully thought out and tailored to meet the high demands Molderm Aesthetics sets.
Every aspect of the syringe is designed to provide exceptional stability, intuitive control and precise dosage control. The result is a tailored injection experience that gives the practitioner full control – and the patient maximum peace of mind.

Each package of Molderm® TT, LIFT, VOLUME and KISS® includes, in addition to four sharp needles, two 25G x 50mm blunt cannulas with an associated puncture needle.
